The Online Catalog
You can search the catalog of WLS - the Westchester Library System - for books, videos,
audiobooks, sound recordings and various formats such as CDs, DVDs, videotapes, cassette tapes,
etc. There are several ways to access the WLS Catalog . Select the
HELP link for instructions as needed.

Reserves (Holds)
To place a reserve (or hold) you must
supply the 14-digit barcode number on your library card (see example at
right). Your reserved items will be sent to the WLS Library of your choice
for pickup. You will receive a your choice of a printed notice, an e-mail,
or a phone call when the
item arrives at your library. When a title you want is already checked
out, you may be able to place a hold on it. Again, you must have your
Library Card barcode number. When the item is checked in and it is your
turn to check out the item, the library will notify you that it is
available. If other library patrons have placed a hold on the item, you
may have to wait until those who have requested the item ahead of you are
able to check out the item. When it is your turn to check out the item,
you must pick it up within one week or it will go on to the next patron.
Renewals
You can renew your materials online too!
Follow the catalog directions, again with your barcode number available.
