Steve Mones

Biography and statement of purpose:

I have studied sculpture, painting and drawing at the Art Students League, Parsons College, Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Arts, the Reilly League of Artists and other institutions after graduating from NYU. I am also a member and former governor of the General Society of Tradesmen and Mechanics. My other affiliations include the community and the Peekskill Arts Alliance.

My photography and art work has been displayed at various places in 2016/2017 around Westchester County including the Briarcliff Library, the Croton Free Library and the Mount Pleasant Public Library.

With my background mostly in painting and drawing media I became interested in in creative photography – manipulation through the photo editing process, but with a measure of reason. My main fascination is with people, landscapes, cityscapes and animal photography. I attempt to make a close connection between myself and the subject and try to express that connection through the images.

As I have Parkinson’s all proceeds from sales are made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
