A reception will be held on Sunday, December 10 from 3:00-4:30pm

Given the tumultuous political times, who our president is and what he does is a constant refrain in our lives. No matter where we might stand politically, we cannot ignore that the discussion of our leadership is more at the forefront of our lives than it has been in modern times. Therefore, who our presidents have been must continually come into focus and be assessed within the current context.

I grew up in the Morris Park section of the Bronx and live in Tarrytown with my wife and two children. In addition to being an artist, I am a high school English teacher and a writer.
I am constantly painting in my mind, always thinking about how I could represent what I see.

Well, what do I see?

What is it about a painter's perspective that can be educative to modern viewers?
I think that the continuous focus on a single image is part of the grace of painting. We have to slow down and spend time with a painting, rather than quickly scroll to the next image in our feed. And, in that slowing down, we delve into the deeper mysteries of what it means to see.
